Do it for Africa Follow up 27 Jan 2010

At YONECO-Youth Net and Councelling, Malawi

Remember this stop... we toiled hard for two days in the Malawian heat laying bricks and compacting muddy foundations, our white skins orange from the soil. And then Stevie 'doctor green-thumb' Miedema planted an avo tree on our last day so that our crossing of paths with YONECO could be remembered fruitfully. Or was it a mango tree? Compare it with the shot taken when it was being planted. That shot now its on the "What We Do" page Heart's websites. Appropriate! So much growth in just under two years (for tree, us, Heart and YONECO). If there was one organisation that didn't need any help it was YONECO. Those guys blew me away. Each arm of their operation was tip top - another two days was spent profiling them. Cheerio all, so much love.

Dear James,

You may think we have forgotten the wonderful work you did when you visited us in February 2008. But we still remember you in a special way. The work you did and the tree you planted is the source of our memory.

Find attached pictures of YONECO New offices and the tree you planted. Thats the completion of phase 1 of the construction. Phase 2 will be a three upstair structure and phase 3 will be hostels for participants to Youth Leadership trainings.

We are wishing Love to Africa all the best in 2010.

Thanks for your wonderful contribution.
